BiosphèrePosted by Bertrand Duhamel (Granby, Canada) on 12 February 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio. As the United States pavilion, the future Biosphère was one of the biggest attractions at the Montreal Expo '67. Buckminster Fuller's sphere is a landmark in the history of contemporary architecture and the most important building of its kind in the world. Its structure reproduces more than 97% of a sphere. I had the chance to visit the Expo 67 and this pavillon when i was a child... a day that i will never forget.
